How Shall You Be My Ghost Today?

For I love thee as I love the dead.

Never ashamed

Never with dread.

For I love thee as I love to sleep

Forever eternal

And nay a weep.

How shalt thou live alone today?

In wanting hope that fades away?

So, thee shall be my wish today.

Defined by you, as now I lay

Inside a tomb

That blows away.

The backwards flow of ghostly streams

That haunt

           and haunt

                    thy poet's dreams.

All of these poems and more can be found HERE in the anthology “A Cartographer”.
